Clive Rutherford attended Southwest London College to study accounting, and the London School of Printing. He worked in management sales & marketing positions in international printing & packaging paper businesses worldwide, on behalf of European, Scandinavian, South African and US paper manufacturers for some 30 years.
Having been located in England, Costa Rica, New York, Los Angeles & Houston for varying lengths of time, Clive moved to Lago Vista in 1998.
Currently he is a real estate agent with Highland Lakes Real Estate in Lago Vista, co-owner of 1431 Property Management LLC, and, together with his wife Joyce, proprietor of Carisbrooke Bed & Breakfast in Lago Vista.
Clive is a past president and current board member of the Lago Vista & Jonestown Area Chamber of Commerce, and was twice honored as Citizen of the Year for 2006 & 2009 by the Chamber membership.

Chester Guidry is a retired professional with 40 years of Management and Consulting experience in the Oil Refining and Chemical Manufacturing business. Chester joined the Lago Vista Economic Development Foundation in December 2006.

Klee Lee is a retired teacher with 29 years of experience. The major subjects taught were Art, Accounting, Yearbook, and Computers. She taught 20 years in the La Feria school district where her students won awards in Art, Accounting and Yearbook.
Presently, Klee is co-chairperson of the Seton Gala and was the past president of The Lago Vista Seton Fund Associates. She is also very involved with the Hill Country Plungettes. Klee was a six year board member of the Harlingen Area Teachers Credit Union, a board member of the Cameron/Willacy County Heart Association where she helped coordinate the first Heart Walk/Run held in Harlingen, Texas. She was President of the La Feria Band Boosters, the La Feria Senior All-Night Party, and the Sorosis Women’s Club. She taught Sunday school and was Youth Director at the La Feria First Methodist Church.
She moved to Lakeway from the Rio Grande Valley in 1999 and then to Lago Vista in 2002. After retiring from Lago Vista ISD, she returned to work as the Administrator of the Lago Vista Economic Development Foundation. |

Richard Hartin, Director of Communications |
Richard Hartin is a retired Computer Hardware Designer with over 40 years of engineering and management experience in the electronics and computer industries. After serving a stint in the Signal Corps with the U.S. Army, Dick went on to U.C.L.A and The University of Santa Clara to get his Bachelor and Masters degrees. Subsequently he worked at various companies in Silicon Valley including NASA Ames Research Center, National Semiconductor and Cypress Semiconductor. While at Cypress he was offered a chance to help start a spinoff company in Austin, TX where he and his family subsequently moved to. After managing a development team in Austin for a number of years Dick moved on to IBM to work as a Technical Lead in the Architecture Group for mid-range computer systems. During this period Dick and his wife moved to Lago Vista, TX. Shortly after retiring he joined the Lago Vista Economic and Development Foundation. |

Economics Sul Ross University, Alpine, Texas, Juris Doctor, University of Texas, Licensed attorney since 1969 practicing in State and Federal courts, general practice with major emphasis on representing real estate developers, builders, title companies and financial intuitions, former aide to The Honorable John Tower and legislative aide to The honorable Kay Bailey Hutchinson while a State Representative. (In addition, Ted is a former intercollegiate and professional rodeo cowboy, stunt double, can weld, build fence, break and train horses, fix windmills, drive any kind of a tractor, truck or school bus, cook, fair carpenter and not so good electrician or plumber, but everything still works that he may have fixed!) |

In 2007, Lance Wedell retired from 31 years with Philips Semiconductors having served in various positions within Sales & Marketing. Once retired, Lance has continued to serve in various volunteer positions and is currently an Alderman for the City of Jonestown and is the city's representative to the Capital Area of Governments.
He recently began working as the Director of Marketing with a new company, CM Energies, to develop an innovative approach to utilize the wind to create electricity using an "urban friendly" wind energy system. |

Gene Hammonds, Former President |
Gene Hammonds has been a licensed Texas real estate broker since 1973. He holds both the (CRB) Certified Residential Broker designation and the (CRS) Certified Residential Specialist designation. After a 13 year career with Gulf Oil Company, he moved back to his native Houston from New York to become a real estate agent in 1973.
After 20 years in Houston, Gene and Clara relocated their real estate business to the Texas hill country and started Highland Lakes Real Estate in Lago Vista. The company celebrated its 15th anniversary in October 2008. Gene has extensive experience in development, commercial, investment and ranch property as well as his residential specialty.

Doug Casey attended Kent State University and San Jacinto Jr. College, Electrical Technology. From 1990 to 1996 he co-owned C.J. Lighting. Doug is the President of Doug Casey Homes, Inc. in Lago Vista since 1996. He has had extensive management and sales experience. His interests are architecture, literature, travel, design, and water sports. |
